The Ningaloo region covers a huge area with the reef itself stretching
260 km from slightly north of Exmouth to Amherst Point, south of
Coral Bay. Exmouth is a small town of approximately 2,500 people
and is situated 1270 km north of Perth.

CLIMATE
The Ningaloo region is blessed with a fantastic climate. With no wet season, it's dry and warm all year. In summer months the daytime temperature range from the mid to high 30 degrees Celsius, while a typical winters day reaches around 25 degrees Celsius. Water temperature vary throughout the year from 18-28 degrees making for perfect beach weather all year.
AIRLINE ACCESS
Skywest Airlines operates daily flights from Perth to and from Learmonth
Airport. This airport is located 37 km from Exmouth and 120 km from
Coral Bay. A shuttle bus meets each flight and for a fee you can
catch a ride to Exmouth. There are a number of companies that can
arrange transfers between Learmonth and Coral Bay on demand. Skywest
also connects Learmonth with Karratha to the north.
COACH SERVICES
Two coach companies service Ningaloo: Greyhound/McCafferys and Integrity Coach Lines. The Exmouth Visitor Centre on Murat Road is the booking agent and bus terminal for these companies.
ROAD ACCESS
If you are travelling north to Ningaloo along the North West Coastal
Highway, travel 152 km north of Carnarvon and turn left at the Minilya
Exmouth Road. From here it is 78 km north to the Coral Bay turnoff
and 12 km into the township. To access Exmouth continue north another
141 km.
If you are travelling south to Ningaloo, turn off the North West
Coastal Highway 1100 km south of the Nanutarra Roadhouse onto Burkett
Road. From here it is 80 km to the Minilya Exmouth Road. At this
junction, turn right for Exmouth (89 km) and left for Coral Bay
(52 km to turn off).
